Assassin’s Creed Origins and For Honor: Marching Fire Edition will join Xbox Game Pass next month

Assassin’s Creed Origins and For Honor: Marching Fire Edition are set to arrive on Xbox Game Pass next month.

Although Microsoft has previously teased that the new arrivals are on the way, they haven’t been officially dated. However, our friends from VGC report that the dates have been confirmed through the “coming soon” section of Game Pass on the Microsoft Store, as seen on Microsoft consoles.

For Honor: Marching Fire Edition will join the Xbox Game Pass library on June 1, while Assassin’s Creed Origins arrives a week later on June 7. On June 21, Shadowrun Returns will also be added.

Perhaps not coincidentally, Assassin’s Creed Origins is set to receive a 60fps update for current-gen consoles in the near future.

Ahead of Ubisoft’s official confirmation, details of its impending PlayStation 5 arrival were picked up by PlayStationSize, a Twitter account that regularly scours the PlayStation Store behind the scenes. The patch notes for the update include an option to enable “higher framerate” on PS5 and a “franchise menu”. The update is expected to launch next week.

As Tom reminded us at the time, Ubisoft previously added a 60fps option to the sequel to Origins Odyssey, the series’ brilliant entry set in ancient Greece. Likewise, Odyssey now features a “franchise menu” that shows and recommends various other recent Assassin’s Creed games, such as its latest installment, Valhalla.
