IISER Admissions for BS-MS Integrated Programs Begins, All You Need to Know


The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) will begin the registration process for its Admission Test – IAT 2022 from today, April 29. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official website, iiseradmission.in. The deadline to apply is May 20. The exam is held for five BS-MS programs at IISER.

The IISER 2022 admission test will be held on Sunday July 3 on a single slot between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. It was previously scheduled to take place on June 12. The entrance exam will be valid for all branches of the institute – Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram and Tirupati.

IISER Admissions 2022: Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be an Indian national or PIO or OCI. They must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with science stream in 2021 or 2022 from any board recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE). Applicants belonging to the General, OBC and OBC-NCL categories must have obtained at least 60% marks in total in class 12, while those belonging to SC, ST and PwD must have obtained at least 55% marks in total.

Step 3: Enter the required credentials

Step 4: Upload documents, pay application fees

Step 5: Download and print the completed application form.

IISER admissions 2022: Application fees

The application fee is Rs 2000 for candidates in the general, OBC and OBC-NCL categories while it is Rs 1000 for candidates in the reserved category.

IISER admissions 2022: exam model

The admission test is a three-hour computer-based exam consisting of math, physics, chemistry, and biology questions. It will be held in nearly 150 cities/villages across India. IISER changed the grading system this year. For each correct answer, students will be awarded three points. For each incorrect answer, 0.75 points will be deducted. The NCERT curriculum is followed for the exam. Those who pass the exam will be called for guidance.
