Today, third-party developers had a lot of news to share about upcoming add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator, in addition to a release.

We start with Digital Design, which will free Lyon-Saint-Exupéry Airport (LFLL). According to the developer arrives this week.

It’s one of the busiest airports in France, so it’s bound to be a welcome addition to the simulator.

RDPresets will also bring an airport next week, July 20. This is Naples International Airport (LIRN), also known as Napoli-Capodichino Ugo Niutta Airport.

It is the fifth busiest in Italy and a relevant destination in the south of the country. it’s worth mentioning that this is a separate project from the previously announced RoChi Studio render, which may be dead given that the developer hasn’t said a word since May 2021.

Something completely different is coming to iniBuilds tomorrow, July 18. This is LAPD Hooper Heliport (58CA) in Los Angeles, California, USA.

  • Very detailed representation of Hooper Heliport, with 2 helipads (runway departures). 16 parking spots (spawn points), detailed footprint, windsocks/active flags, etc.
  • Cesar Chavez and San Bernadino Fwy Bridges (fly over and land)
  • Metro HQ building with helipad
  • Recreation of the adjacent rail yard and train carriages
  • Modeling Union Station
  • Obstacles around the helipad modeled

We then receive an aircraft announcement from Pilot Experience Sim, which is working on a “study level” Maule M7-235. The plan is to release it in early 2023.

Below you can read more about the plane and see some WIP screenshots of the 3D model.

First of all, we plan to develop the Maule M7-235 at the “study” level including all the functionalities of the real aircraft.

The flight model is also developed according to the complete documentation of the aircraft and will very quickly meet the flight characteristics of the Maule M7-235High-quality testers and real pilots of the Maule M7-235 accompany the development and verify the operation in a strict and precise manner in order to reproduce the capabilities, reactions and piloting of this legendary aircraft in the most faithful way to reality.

The M7-235B and M7235C versions will also be developed but in a second phase.

Work in progress :

As texturing is not advanced at the moment, you can discover here some previews from our design software.

Currently the flight model is very advanced and very precise respecting every aspect and characteristics of the Maule M7-235 but there is still a lot of work to be done, especially on aerodynamics.

We have come a long way on the design and every part is taken from the builder’s plans.

Every pin, cable, bolt, nut, rubber guards and the like are present and the animations mimic the movements of the cables and springs propeller, movements of door handles and others.

Upcoming works:

We still have a lot of work to do, especially on the exterior model and the interior model remains to be done entirely.

Exterior texturing will begin soon and we hope to show you some previews in September.

Exit:

We want to integrate different liveries and prepare a paint kit as well. The integration of a tablet with different statuses and options is planned.

It is possible that the 235B and 235C versions will come out in addition to a basic pack which would be the 235 or in another way, a basic price giving free access to the other versions to those who have purchased it at that time and a price of and a price that changes as each version is released.

For the moment nothing is decided and it will also depend on what it is possible to do on the Microsoft market place.

We currently estimate that the aircraft could be released in early 2023. We will of course give you more details in the development stream.

We are always looking for more Maule M7 235 pilots, especially the 235B and 235C variants to test our aircraft.
